Why I Do What I Do
I spent years watching brilliant authors burn out. They were trying to cram their massive, sprawling imaginations into the rigid constraints of the 60,000-word novel because they were told it was the "only way" to be a real author.
That is a lie.

I approach this industry as a Text Technology Historian, a Librarian and an Author. When I talk about the shift to subscription models, I’m not guessing; I’m looking at the data and the historical precedents as well as listening to the current industry scuttlebutt.
